I cannot rate this item because it was never delivered to my daughter in Orlando as I ordered. On June 25, I placed an order online and requested that I receive an e-mail confirmation. When an e-mail was not received, I called the company and was told it was sent. On July 2, I called because my daughter had still not received the item and was told to give it a couple of more days. On July 6, I again called and was told that it would be resent. Today is July 17 and nothing has been received. When I call the company, I feel like I am bothering someone and being unreasonable to expect that I receive a product for the money that was paid. I will never use this company again and would never recommend this company

The truffles were positively YUMMY!. A few of the truffles were a bit squished by the postal service, but they were still absolutely delish. When I've purchased truffles from other companies, I found them overpoweringly sweet. But Scott's truffles were just right. They had the perfect amount of sweetness. The consistancy of the truffles was a bit more like fudge than a truffle. But when you're as much a chocoholic as I am, it really doesn't matter. Just gimme CHOCOLATE! Gimme GIMME! Ordered these for Valentine's Days plans which never panned out, so I had them all to myself, and I think I got the better end of the deal.
They were sent rather promptly, and arrived quickly. The packaging was intact, and there was only a slight dent on the top of the truffles from the packaging, but they were not some ball of gooey dough or anything.
As for size, they're slightly smaller than a golfball, so be sure to have a sweet tooth before you order. Taste-wise, they're rather good. The cocoa is not overwhelming, and you can certainly taste the chocolate underneath. There's also enough of each truffle to give you a satisfying feel after eating one, as opposed to some of the smaller packaged truffles where you eat a dozen and only then realize half the box is gone, one of these at a time will do.
The only real Con I can think of, is that I still tasted a bit of whichever oil they used to sure up the truffle (safflower, coconut, etc.), and it slightly took away from the chocolaty taste.
However, don't let that stop you too much. They were plenty chocolaty, and I mean chocolaty, not loaded with sugar.
For the price I ordered them at (around $3 I believe), they were a great little treat, and I've been remiss about letting the review go so long.
If you have a few spare bucks to spoil yourself and don't mind waiting for shipping, grab these, or order the bigger pack. I ordered the 12 month subscription for my wife as a Christmas gift. So far we have received 3 cakes and they all arrived safely in very good condition the last week of each month. While we enjoy the cakes, all three have been essentially the EXACT same coffee cake recipe with different fruit: apple-nut, then blueberry, then cranberry-nut. So far I have been disappointed with the lack of variety, especially when you consider each cake costs slightly more than $20. I bought these chocolates because my gf loves dark chocolate and coconut. When I saw this product, I thought it would be the perfect fit for a Valentine's Day gift. I'd read some reviews about some of Scott's Cakes' other chocolates being too hard to chew so I was a little hesitant, but decided to try these anyway.
I think some people have the wrong expectations about chocolate coming through the mail. It seems like these people want something warm and chewy, but that's not going to work unless you're a fan of melted chocolate. These things are in transit for a few days, of course they're going to be a *little* tough.
And that's what these chocolates were: a little tough. Not even close to a jawbreaker. Probably not even tougher than chewable airheads. However they were absolutely delicious! I was expecting to get a jawbreaker and instead I got a chocolate that was extremely tasty and felt like it was firm enough to withstand being in transit for a few days. I liked them even more than my gf did!

This is one of the most amazing chocolate cake I have tasted. Both me and my wife loved it. The packaging was awesome. It came within a large thermocoal box and ice pack to keep it frozen. The packaging itself is a value for money. It comes with a little instruction card saying how to heat it based on whether it is frozen or thawed, and that was very helpful.
Even though the description says it will ship within few weeks, it actually shipped very next day ! However, I guess that could vary based on availability.
We are very very satisfied with this product. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.
